CHICAGO GREEKTOWN EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION 2023 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Chicago Greektown Educational Foundation is proud to present the CGEF scholarship application. A limited number of CGEF scholarships up to $1,000 will be awarded to qualified applicants based on any of the following criteria:

academic achievement
financial need
special needs/disability

To qualify for a CGEF scholarship, the applicant must be enrolled in a Greek language course in the State of Illinois. All applicants must submit this application along with an essay. The application deadline is October 1, 2023. All materials must be emailed to CGEF by the deadline date. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. CGEF will notify successful applicants by Monday, October 23, 2023 and scholarship disbursements will be made to the school within 30 days of such notification.

Please submit an essay detailing your (i) academic achievements, (ii) financial need, or (iii) special needs or disability.

Feel free to include any experiences of how the Greek culture or language has provided positive contributions in your life, along with any examples of public service, community activities, extracurricular activities, internships or work activities, scholarships, or any other interesting thing about yourself.
The essay must be typed, double-spaced, on separate sheets of paper and original. It must be submitted with the application and should be no more than 1,000 words.
